4. How we use information

We use information to provide and maintain the Service, process and restore purchases, deliver requested notifications, provide device transfer and support, protect the Service, prevent misuse, troubleshoot errors, and comply with legal obligations.

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the performance of a contract to provide requested features, consent for optional permissions and features, legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent through the relevant iOS or app setting where processing is based on consent.

5. Service providers and disclosure

We use the following providers only as needed to operate the Service:

  • Apple for App Store purchases, notifications, device permissions, and other iOS services;
  • RevenueCat for purchase and subscription status;
  • Cloudflare for website delivery, backend services, security, and email routing; and
  • Google for email received through the support address.

We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, or security of users, the public, or the Service. We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising or cross-app tracking.

6. Retention and deletion

  • Information stored only on your device remains there until you delete it, reset the relevant feature, or delete the app.
  • Inactive installation and notification schedule records are deleted after 90 days without activity.
  • Notification delivery records are retained for up to 7 days.
  • Encrypted device-transfer packages are deleted after a successful transfer or after 7 days, whichever occurs first.
  • Support correspondence is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond and comply with legal obligations.

Apple and RevenueCat retain purchase information in accordance with their own policies and legal obligations.

7. International transfers

We are based in Japan, and our service providers may process information in other countries. Where required by applicable law, personal data is transferred using an approved legal mechanism or other appropriate safeguard.

8. Your choices and rights

You can manage camera, motion, notification, and Family Controls permissions in iOS settings and manage optional features in WakeBomb. Deleting WakeBomb removes information stored only within the app from that device.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or portability of your personal data, and to object to certain processing or withdraw consent. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. We will provide additional notice where required by law.
